New Hampshire serves people with all types of disabilities, but has some specialty programs tailored to meet the needs of certain types of disabilities. These include our Services for the Blind and Vison Impaired (SBVI)

New Hampshire Program Information

What are the eligibility requirements? 

You must have a visual acuity of 20/50 or worse in the better seeing eye or a visual field loss of greater than 40% or a functional visual impairment as stated by an optometrist/ophthalmologist. 

What is the process for applying for services? 

Call or email us to have a large print application mailed or a digital copy emailed to you. 

What documentation is required? 

A completed OIB application and an eye report.

  • Assistive technology training
  • Orientation and mobility training
  • Daily living skills training
  • Communication skills training
  • Peer support group/adjustment to vision loss counseling
